The ingredients and production processes are different: Linen flooring is made by laminating a mixture of oxidized linseed oil, cork and wood flour onto a jute backing.

SPC stone plastic floor is a high-density, high-fiber network structured solid base layer made of natural marble powder. The surface is covered with a super wear-resistant polymer PVC wear-resistant layer and processed through hundreds of procedures. From this perspective, linen is made of pure natural linen materials, but stone plastic flooring is made of natural stone powder and natural resin. They are all pure green materials.

There is a difference between abrasion resistance and stability: linen flooring is generally scratch resistant, while linen flooring is hard and soft. This is why thick linen floors are less resistant to scratches. Compared with stone plastic floor, stone plastic floor has better wear resistance. In addition, linen flooring is generally dimensionally stable, so super glue is required. Generally, linen floors are less stable than stone plastic floors.

Difference between linen floor and stone plastic floor

Difficulty of maintenance: Linen flooring needs to be cured in natural light, samples and objects will be different and yellow. Linen flooring has poor resistance to maintenance products (pH> 7), and special maintenance products are needed when repairing and waxing are needed. Linen flooring is much harder than stone plastic flooring, but because the surface is porous, all stains need to be removed quickly, otherwise the surface will leave indelible marks and need to be polished and waxed again. Because it is not a thermoplastic material, it cannot be recycled and the burn marks can easily be worn away. However, for deeper burn marks, stone-plastic flooring with a penetrating core is easier to sand than linen flooring.

Different installation difficulties: Linen flooring is difficult to install. If the indoor temperature is too low, the linen floor will crack. Due to its absorptivity and dimensional instability, the product needs to be installed quickly with strongly viscous water. For example, within one day, an installation team can lay 80-100 square meters of stone-plastic flooring and only 60 square meters of linen flooring. Linseed oil is not sensitive to temperature and cannot be welded with electrodes of the same material, so it is not welded but seams, so linen flooring cannot be classified as E3 waterproof. Linen flooring is not suitable for wet rooms or areas with cleaning requirements. The linen floor emits a strong odor and stays in the installed room.
